Habs Hang On To Beat Coyotes 4-2 -- Montreal Gazette

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Tomas Plekanec led the way as the Canadiens won the battle of the special teams en route to a 4-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.

When it comes to special teams, the Canadiens have been bottom feeders in the NHL this season, but they were merely perfect Thursday night.

Montreal scored on both of its power-play opportunities. And the penalty-killing unit not only killed off the four Phoenix power plays, but it also generated some shorthanded scoring chances.
