MONTREAL ­ And this was the team that was supposed the give the Alouettes trouble? Never has a trip to the championship game appeared so easy.

In one of the most one-sided playoff games in franchise history, the Als steamrolled over the British Columbia Lions, 56-18, Sunday afternoon in the East Division final before 53,792 Olympic Stadium spectators. The Als established a team record for most points in a playoff game, surpassing the 48 against Hamilton on Nov. 17, 1956.
