Plans 20% cut. But PQ says Charest is being naive.

Quebec now has the most ambitious climate-change plan in North America, but several environmental groups say the province still hasn't gone far enough.

While Quebec is to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent by 2020, compared with 1990 levels, groups like Greenpeace Québec and La Coalition Québec-Kyoto said yesterday that what's needed is a 25- to 40-per-cent cut.

My Comment: The de-industrialization of Quebec continues, with even more manugacturers probably leaving when these emission standards are introduced.
