Quebec Proposes 7% Pay Hike For Civil Servants

QUEBEC – Monique Gagnon-Tremblay, who as president of Quebec's treasury board controls the purse strings of the province, proposes Monday a five-year contract and a seven-per-cent wage increase to the 475,000-member common front of public-sector employees – teachers, hospital workers, civil servants.

My Comment: They are lucky to get 5% in this economy and high government debt. But unions operate on their own agenda .... taxpayers and everyone else be damn.
