Guitar Gods Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck To Play Bell Centre

Ex-Yardbirds visit Montreal on Feb. 22.

MONTREAL – Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will perform together at the Bell Centre on Feb. 22, 2010.

The tour is an offshoot of two shows the guitar giants played together at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan in February this year.

“(We) had a blast,” Beck said of the Japan shows in a press release. “Since then we have been in regular contact and talked about doing a similar show for our fans.”

Will they be forced to sing "en français"?

They don't have the balls to make such a demand. It would make the international news, and French Quebec will become the laughing stock of the world.

What they do instead is to prohibit or block English Quebec acts from performing at "French" events. The celebrations on the Plains of Abraham this September and the treatment of English acts is a case in point.
