Alouettes 42, Argos 17

TORONTO – Presumably, it will be tougher for the Alouettes in two weeks.

Montreal completed its regular-season Saturday with an easy and convincing 42-17 victory over the hapless Toronto Argonauts before 28,293 Rogers Centre spectators.

The Als ended the schedule with a 15-3 record, the most victories in franchise history. Montreal won 14 games in 2004, under head coach Don Matthews, but was eliminated in the East Division final when quarterback Anthony Calvillo suffered an injury.
