Some residents at a long-term care facility in Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood are hoping health officials will reconsider plans to close its doors.
The Gilman Residence is home to 29 elderly people who are visually impaired, and some are afraid they'll struggle to adapt to a new facility.
The Montreal regional health authority announced plans recently to close the Gilman Residence by next year, saying the facility can house close to 60 residents but is currently being used by only half that many.

My Comment: I know the residence where these seniors are located .... it is peaceful and comfortable. The new residence in LaSalle .... I know the area (I live in LaSalle) and It is not the same thing.
