MONTREAL -- Mauro Biello recalls when he was 10 years old and playing at Olympic Stadium before a huge crowd during half time of game featuring the Montreal Manic of the defunct North American Soccer League.
Now the veteran captain of the Montreal Impact of the United Soccer League, Biello will be back at the Big O before another multitude of soccer fans on Feb. 25 to play in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Santos Laguna of Mexico.
"We were playing a half time game at the Manic game and, before the game, myself and another player were introduced to the coach, Eddie Firmani," Biello said yesterday.
