Police investigate the crime scene at a home in Piedmont, Que., which is a small community in the Laurentian Mountains, about 60 kilometres northwest of Montreal on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.
The Sûreté du Québec is investigating the deaths of two children in the Laurentians.
Police say it appears to be a double-murder-attempted suicide.
The bodies -- identified as five-year-old Olivier Turcotte and his three-year-old sister, Anne-Sophie Turcotte -- were found Saturday in their home in Piedmont, a small community about 60 kilometres northwest of Montreal.
The 36-year-old father of the children, Dr. Guy Turcotte, is considered a possible suspect in the killings.
