Habs Feed Off Halak's Confidence -- The Montreal Gazette

Patrice Brisebois said he was just repaying a debt when he saved goalie Jaroslav Halak’s shutout against the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night.

“I figured I owed him one, because he saved me,” Brisebois said of his play with 5:38 remaining in the game.

The Canadiens were protecting a 2-0 lead when a shot by the Canucks’ Kevin Bieksa trickled through Halak’s pads. The puck was rolling toward the goal line when Brisebois stepped in and batted it into the corner.
