Newcomer Schneider caps 4-3 comeback on power play

PHILADELPHIA – Mathieu Schneider’s power-play goal at 3:31 of overtime gave the Canadiens a crucial 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Friday night, but it was the special-teams play at the other end of the ice that made the difference.

The Flyers, who boasted the fourth-best power play in the National Hockey League, were 0-for-8 and that included two 5-on-3 advantages that totalled 2:15.
