Three Shootings Across Montreal Sunday Morning

MONTREAl ­ Three shootings in four hours have left Montreal police stringing crime scene tape from downtown to Montreal North, but a police spokesperson says there’s no reason to think any of the incidents are linked.

“There’s absolutely no indication, nothing in time or space, that suggests that any of these incidents are related,” said Constable Laurent Gingras, “It just seems that by chance we had three incidents this morning.”

The latest of those incidents occurred at about 8:30 a.m., when a man in his 50s was shot in the leg as he stood outside his home in Langelier Blvd. in the borough of Montreal North.
