Lifeguards 'Didn't Do Anything' To Save Hila, Family Says

4-year-old girl dies after near-drowning at Côte St. Luc pool.

MONTREAL – On the day 4-year-old Hila Zohar was buried, her family had angry words for lifeguards who they say didn’t act quickly enough.

Hila Zohar was found Tuesday afternoon at the bottom of the Côte St. Luc municipal pool. She was taken off life-support on Wednesday.

“I lost one of the most beautiful girls ever,” Hila’s mother, Edit Zohar, said Thursday.
