Tremblay's Party Off To A Quick Start

Hits campaign trail early with ethics a key issue, mayor says donations will be posted on website.

The official start of the municipal election is still 19 days away, but members of the mayor's political party were in full campaign mode Saturday.

"We can say that the campaign starts today," said Daniel Hurteau, an organizer in the Lachine borough.

My Comment: It is hard to see him lose. The opposition is made up of pro Quebec separatists, anti-English/immigrant members, and a few (very few) English/immigrant sympathizers. Montreal is half non-francophone, and they have never had sympathy for groups or political parties that have always disrespected them.

The question is not will Tremblay win, the question is by how much.
