Montreal Beats Toronto In Purchasing Power: Study


Montreal Beats Toronto With 12th Most Purchasing Power In World, Says UBS Study -- The Canadian Press

MONTREAL — Canada's two largest cities are ranked about midway in a survey of the world's most expensive places to live but Montreal slightly beat Toronto with the 12th best purchasing power, says a UBS survey.

Toronto and Montreal were the 31st and 32nd most expensive cities, slipping 15 and 12 spots respectively since the last survey by the global bank was conducted three years ago.

Oslo leads the list of 73 cities surveyed by the European-based bank, followed by Zurich, Copenhagen, Geneva, Tokyo and New York.
