Old Montreal's 'New' Public Market

Musicians in Old Montreal play tunes from 1750 (Aug. 29, 2009)

The streets of Old Montreal have been transformed into an 18th-century public market this weekend.

The Pointe-a-Calliere museum is hosting the re-enactment of the city's first public marché, complete with pirates, storytellers, and musicians.

Children are getting the chance to get into the act, by dressing up in uniforms like those soldiers wore in the 1750 and marching on the cobblestone streets.
