Say cheese! The Bonnet family has capitalized on Quebecers' love of variety.

MONTREAL – He's 82, and theoretically retired, but Claude Bonnet still makes a daily visit to keep an eye on things at the Damafro cheese factory in this village of 2,500 about an hour's drive east of Montreal.

"I'd rather do that than play golf," says Bonnet, who lives in nearby St. Hyacinthe.

"He wants to know what's going on. He still follows it closely," said son Michel, now co-president of the family business along with brother Philippe.
