Finding a meteorologist bold enough to offer a weather prediction for August is quite a challenge.
Will this month make up for the rained-out camping trips and half-empty terrasses in July? Or will 2009 go into the books as the summer of billy boots and sweaters? The first day of August was as picture-perfect a summer day as one could ask for, with sunshine all day and a high of 28C. But will the trend hold? In our quest for an answer, The Gazette turned to some alternative sources.
