Heat, Smog Warnings Continue In Montreal

High heat, humidity and smog warnings remained in effect for the island of Montreal on Monday.

The same warnings also remained in effect for Laval and communities on Montreal's north and south shores, including Lanaudière, Lachute, Saint-Jérôme, Vaudreuil, Soulanges, Huntingdon, Richelieu Valley and Saint-Hyacinthe.

Environment Canada is predicting the humidex will reach 43 C, and warned that people with heart and respiratory problems could see their conditions deteriorate if exposed to the heat and smog.
